Broad Haven

Place 6 stories, 1964 to 1983

A small coast village in Pembrokeshire, then the county of Dyfed, near St Brides Bay. RAF Brawdy and the Milford Haven refineries lay close by. Friday, 4 February 1977. At lunchtime, children at Broad Haven Primary School saw a pearlescent silver craft about the size of a bus rise from behind some trees. Their reports opened a run of sightings later called the Welsh Triangle, echoed twelve days later at Rhosybol on Anglesey. David Clarke has ranked the flap second only to the Warminster Thing in British UFO history.
