Two counties share this name in the archive. The first lies in Pennsylvania, southeast of Pittsburgh. In 1965 the village of Kecksburg became the scene of the Kecksburg UFO Incident. A boy saw something like a star on fire, his mother saw blue smoke in the woods, and a farmer about a mile away felt a vibration and a thump. In autumn 1973 Stan Gordon was logging UFO and Bigfoot reports across the county and its neighbours. The second sits on the Northern Neck of Virginia, along the lower Potomac. Summer, 1978. The first Chessie sighting is usually placed on its shore.
