A railway junction village in the Karoo of the Eastern Cape, about 12 km east of Middelburg. Sunday, 12 November 1972. Soldiers guarding a nearby military camp saw rotating red lights hovering low over the junior school's tennis court, while police watched a colour-changing light through binoculars and headmaster Harold Truter later saw a silent light over a ridge. The Rosmead Tennis Court Landing became one of about 25 Eastern Cape sightings that year, alongside Fort Beaufort. Hind investigated it, and the case is remembered beside the Loxton landing as another Karoo landing.
