A French journalist and author whose name runs through two of the country's notable cases. With Jean-Claude Bourret, Robert Roussel first revealed the testimony of the Mirage IV night encounter near Chaumont in 1977. Later he turned to L'Amarante. Laxou, near Nancy, 21 October 1982. A biologist watched an egg-shaped craft hang silently over his lawn for about 20 minutes, and nearby amaranths withered. Roussel covered the case in his books, including OVNI. Les vérités cachées de l'enquête officielle, published in 1994.
