Three different men named Peter Davies appear in the archive's cases. In 1972, at Urquhart Bay, Davies skippered the Narwhal during the Loch Ness flipper photograph operation. Around 1:45 a.m. he saw a trace appear on the sonar chart and rowed over to the Nan to tell Rines. In July 1986, a Peter Davies of Oxted, Surrey, admitted revising the manuscript of Cedric Allingham's Flying Saucer from Mars and posing in disguise as its author. Around 2000, Gwent Police Inspector Peter Davies said officers were keeping an open mind on the Talycoed sheep attacks in the Beast of Trellech case.
