Kew is home to The National Archives, where Britain's official UFO files came to rest. May 2008. Under a five-year open-government programme, the surviving Ministry of Defence files began moving there and went online in tranches, with Dr David Clarke advising. In 2010 the released files included the CAA report on British Airways Flight 5061, two pilots and a dark shape at 4,000 feet over the Pennines. The 1984 Waterloo Bridge flying saucer report most likely sits in DEFE 24/1922, a Kew file covering September 1984 to January 1985, though that link is unconfirmed.
