Context
1926 was a busy year on Okanagan Lake. Groups of five to nine people reported sightings off Summerland. In July, John L. Logie drove alongside the creature near Peachland, with P.J. Dodwell in the car behind. Four canoeists saw it on the second day of the Kelowna Regatta. In August, Joe Spurrier fired a rifle at it. The shot missed and hit a cottage.
