Lins, São Paulo. Early morning, 2 October 1968. Turíbio Pereira, a 41-year-old bulldozer driver for the city, was checking his machine's oil at the edge of town. Then he looked up. A small golden craft floated just above the ground, about eight metres away. Four beings worked around it in blue tunics and laced sandals. One tapped at a keyboard. One gathered soil. One studied his tractor. The fourth raised a device toward him. A flash. Turíbio could not move. He could not scream. He watched them rise and vanish without a sound. The Brazilian Air Force questioned him. No explanation was ever published.
