November 15, 1993. About 4:30 in the morning. In Ecquevilly, in the Paris region, a 50-year-old man woke to his two dogs barking outside. It was not their usual bark. At the window he saw his dogs and his horses all staring the same way. Some 300 metres off, static lights were illuminating the ground. Then they began to move toward the house. Overhead, he saw a luminous circle of white, yellow and slightly bluish lights, with flashes of what he called black light. No sound. Not even with the window open. When he stepped outside, it was gone. A quarter of a century later, France's official investigators still could not explain it.
