URECAT is Patrick Gross's catalogue of cases, where each report gets a rating and a verdict. It reaches back to 1880. The Galisteo Junction "Aerial Monster" was scored low for reliability and very high for strangeness, then filed as a journalistic hoax. In 2018 Gross entered the 1947 Malta fishermen's sighting, concluding a possible submarine and crew, with low certainty. It remains the only close encounter case from Malta in the catalogue. The Monroe Monster attack on Christine Van Acker in 1965 was rated a probable bear. Not every entry fits the subject. The 1951 Jersey Devil scare in Gibbstown was judged not UFO-related.
