A shipyard foreman from Gautier, Mississippi. On October 11, 1973, Charles Hickson went fishing off a pier on the Pascagoula River with Calvin Parker. At dusk came a buzzing sound, then a craft with a blue light hovering just above the ground. Three pale, wrinkled beings with claw-like hands floated out, and the two men said they were taken aboard. Their story went national during the 1973 UFO flap. On November 2, Hickson appeared on The Dick Cavett Show, the date Ohio Governor John J. Gilligan had been invited for. Philip J. Klass later argued that Hickson changed details of his story.
