Taxidermist Bob Titmus turns up at key moments in the Bigfoot record. October 3, 1958. Following his instructions, Jerry Crew made a plaster cast of a print at Bluff Creek, about 16 inches long, and took it to the paper in Eureka. Nearly a decade later he returned to the trail. On October 29, 1967, after the Patterson-Gimlin film, Titmus cast ten prints in a row, each about 14½ inches. His work also drew criticism. Loren Coleman blamed Titmus's comparison drawings for the claim that the 1941 Ruby Creek tracing matched the Bluff Creek prints.
