Paranormal record / 1953
Manila. May 1953. A young woman sat in the city jail, booked for vagrancy. Then something began to bite her. Clarita Villanueva screamed that two beings were attacking her. One was a very big, dark man, hairy all over. The other had an angelic face and a big moustache. No one else could see them. But they could see the marks. Bites appeared on her finger and her neck in front of doctors, reporters and the Mayor of Manila himself. Wire services carried the story to the United States and Australia. For about two weeks, the press had a name for her tormentor. "The Thing." Then an American pastor arrived to pray over her.
