Sighting record / 1957
October 8, 1957. Four Fijians were travelling near Nabouwalu, on the south-west tip of Vanua Levu, in a punt with an outboard motor. Then something white and circular came down from the sky. They thought it was an aeroplane in trouble. They went towards it to help. It hung about 20 feet above the sea, apparently revolving. On its outside stood what looked like the figure of a man. The figure shone a blinding light on their boat. They were dazzled. They felt weak. Then the figure was gone, and the object rose straight up and out of sight.
