Webb

Person 4 stories, 1896 to 1995

Two men named Webb appear in the archive. Most often it is Walter N. Webb, who worked on the Smithsonian satellite-tracking programme under J. Allen Hynek and spent 32 years at the Charles Hayden Planetarium in Boston. He was the first investigator of the Betty and Barney Hill case. In 1978 he took on the Buff Ledge Camp Abduction, hypnotising each witness separately. As chief investigator for the UFO Research Coalition, he also studied the America West Airlines Flight 564 sighting of 1995. Earlier, in 1896, Dr. DeWitt Webb, a St. Augustine physician, examined the St. Augustine Monster on the beach.
