Spain's military air arm kept its own files on the unexplained. Between 1992 and 1999 it released them, in a declassification proposed and supervised by ufologist Vicente-Juan Ballester Olmos. February 1971. The abbot of Montserrat became the first witness in File 710223, a 71 page report that called the phenomenon's real existence evident. The force also ran the Reus air base, where a 1969 control-tower sighting was declassified on 24 May 1993. Its Bardenas Reales firing range saw strange lights in January 1975, and Expediente 761112 recorded the Green Man of Talavera la Real.
