The name belongs to two witnesses in this archive, decades apart. William Albert Rhodes was an inventor, musician, amateur astronomer and photographer in Phoenix, Arizona. On 7 July 1947, he heard a loud whoosh and saw a flat gray object shaped like the heel of a shoe make three passes over his home. He took two pictures with a Kodak Brownie box camera. In 1994, Ed Rhodes, an American, was chief pilot of the Tajik Air Boeing 747SP over Kazakhstan. He photographed the object's contrails and judged it extraterrestrial and under intelligent control.
