Annals of Psychical Science

Organisation 3 stories, 1900 to 1905

An English-language journal of psychical research. In the first years of the twentieth century, it carried reports on some of the strangest cases in the archive. Cesare Lombroso wrote up the Via Bava poltergeist of Turin in its pages, where bottles fell and smashed in a wine cellar in 1900. Wijk's account of the Hornsö rappings, "Karin: An experimental study of spontaneous rappings," appeared there in 1905. That same year, Richet published his report on the Villa Carmen materialisation séances in Algiers, where a form was photographed beside the medium Marthe.
