A Malaysian UFO researcher, Ahmad Jamaludin catalogued many of his country's strangest reports. His account of the Port Swettenham flying cigar fixes the moment precisely. 12 March 1954, a Friday afternoon at the docks, 3:20 p.m. He also included the three-inch spacemen of Stowell School, Bukit Mertajam, in his survey for Flying Saucer Review. Then came 1995 and the Tanjung Sepat football-field UFO. That December, he largely organised the first Malaysia UFO Conference at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur. A group called UFORIA, UFO Research in Asia, was formed there, though it did not last.
