The Lead Masks Case: Morro do Vintém, Niterói
August 1966. Two electronics technicians from Campos dos Goytacazes climbed Morro do Vintém, a hill in Niterói, Brazil. Days later a kite flyer reported their bodies in a clearing near the top. They wore suits and raincoats. Beside them lay two crude eye masks cut from lead. And a note: "protect metals await signal mask."
