The summer of 1964
Before Momo and the Enfield Horror there was the summer of 1964. Farm workers at Sister Lakes, Michigan, chased a ten-foot hairy thing with a flashlight and the town sold monster-hunting licences, a reporter in Grafton, West Virginia, saw a headless white figure by the river, and a Texas rancher fired a revolver at something seven feet tall. The next summer a Michigan woman was attacked in her car.
