Paranormal record / 1892
February 1892. A farmhouse at Carriglea, Faithlegg, in County Waterford. The candles go out. Furniture moves across the floor. Dishes smash. Then a high-pitched scream fills the house. The family belongs to Mr Kingworth, a retired RIC man guarding an evicted farm for the Marquis of Waterford's estate. The next night the police stand guard. They hear it too. Two weeks later the family is living in Costello's Lane, in Waterford city. On a Saturday night, it all begins again. By Sunday, hundreds have gathered in the street. Was it a ghost that followed a family from the countryside into the city? Or something much closer to home?
