An author of Irish ghost lore. St John D. Seymour wrote Irish Witchcraft and Demonology in 1913, a book tied to the Islandmagee witch case of 1710, often called Ireland's last witch trial. A year later came True Irish Ghost Stories. He co-wrote it with Harry Neligan. The 1914 book retold the Derrygonnelly poltergeist of 1877 and reprinted the Enniscorthy case from the Redmond lodging house on Court Street. Both had been investigated by William F. Barrett. Seymour and Neligan judged that there was very little room to doubt either story.
