Saturday, July 26, 2014. North York, Toronto. As evening settled over Yonge Street, residents looked up and saw a row of bright lights hanging in the sky. Pink, green and white. Set in a single diagonal line. Sarah Chun watched from her condo for about 25 minutes and filmed it on her iPad. "At first I thought it was stars or something, but it was too bright to be." Calls reached Toronto Police. Officers from 32 Division saw the lights too. NORAD said nothing unusual showed on radar. A constable blamed a quadcopter. Others pointed to kites and lanterns. No official explanation was ever given.
Saturday, July 26, 2014. A summer evening in North York, the Willowdale neighbourhood strung along Yonge Street between Sheppard Avenue and Finch Avenue. Between about 7 and 10 p.m., Toronto Police began receiving calls. Something was hanging in the sky over the condo towers.
