Sighting record / 2020
August 30, 2020. An American Airlines crew was on final approach to Los Angeles International Airport at about 3,000 feet. Then the radio call came. "Tower, American 1997, we just passed a guy in a jetpack." Off the left side. Maybe 300 yards. About their altitude. A second crew saw it too. It did not end there. For almost two years, pilots around LAX kept reporting a human-sized figure in the sky. A China Airlines 777. A flight school over the ocean, which filmed it. A Kalitta Air 747 whose captain saw a "red outfit." The FAA and FBI investigated. None of the sightings was ever verified.
