A lawyer from Varginha, he investigated for CEVAPPA. July 1979. He arrived in Baependi with Malius de Figueiredo and Francisco Antônio Romanelli to look into the Caso do Embornal. The team cast four symmetrical footprints in plaster, and Rodrigues called the witness Arlindo an undeniably honest person. In 1996 he became the first investigator of the Varginha Incident. Years later he rejected the extraterrestrial and capture narrative. He no longer believed any of it, he said. Yet he never accused the three young women of Jardim Andere of lying.
