A 23-year-old staff photographer at La Nueva Provincia. On 21 May 1962, Miguel Tohmé was on foot on Calle Chiclana, in the centre of Bahía Blanca, when he saw a luminous body with an aura of light, larger than the full moon by his account. He photographed it. The image became part of the Bahía Blanca wave, alongside the Route 35 truck drivers' illuminated railway car. A news dispatch about it later turned up in CIA files released in 2016. In 2023, after the Espora Naval Air Base triangles, Tiempo Argentino recalled his picture as part of the city's long UFO history.
