A Brazilian historian and ufologist, Cláudio Suenaga went back into the paperwork behind some of Brazil's strangest cases. Late 1995. He was among the first to examine the DOPS files on the Onilson Pátero abductions. In 1997 and 1998, with Pablo Villarrubia Mauso, he found the surviving relatives of João Prestes Filho and the death certificate itself. He argued that the Duas Pontes disappearance of Rivalino Mafra da Silva was a murder over a very large diamond, blamed on flying saucers. In 2023, sixty years on, he interviewed José Marcos again about the Sagrada Família cyclops encounter.
