The Loch Ness year

A new road along the north shore opened the loch to motorists in 1933, and the sightings began at once. The Mackays saw something rolling in the water in April, the Spicers watched a creature cross the road in July, a water bailiff and a London surgeon added theirs, and by the spring of 1934 the Daily Mail had sent a big-game hunter and the monster had a name.
