Sighting record / 2014
Thursday, January 23, 2014. About 9 p.m. In Naha and Urasoe, on Okinawa, people looked to the western sky and saw them. About ten bright orange lights over Naha Port. They moved up, down and sideways. They traced curves. They bunched together, went out and came back. After about 15 minutes, every one of them was gone. The Okinawa Times collected the reports and posted its video on YouTube. By January 27 it had passed one million views. The Air Self-Defense Force said it had nothing flying. An astronomer said the lights were not astronomical. Then the US Marines released a photo of flares.
