September 23, 1996. Mary Morrison was driving through the farmland below Falkland Hill in Fife, heading out to buy coffee. A huge white light hung in the sky. It did not move. Then it split in two. Overhead, a black triangular craft slid past in silence. They went back twice that night. Over the woods near Newton of Falkland, the witnesses reported a large, transparent, illuminated capsule in a field. Around it moved small figures, about 3 feet tall, carrying cylinders between the ground and the craft. At about 23:30 they fled. Nearly thirty years on, the case is still argued over.
