December 14, 1971. 11:45 p.m. Above Holiday Acres, a small subdivision in Cavetown, Maryland, a bright light was circling again. Residents had seen it before. On several occasions. Usually around 11 p.m. It changed speed as it went. Sometimes it stopped and simply hovered in one place. Among those watching were a Maryland State Trooper and a college professor. NICAP investigators came to interview them. They left without an answer. No satisfactory explanation was ever found, and the light over Holiday Acres remains one quiet, unsolved entry in the record of 1971.
