Figure 51 the balloon continued to descend. In both cases the token ballast flow on the ascent portion of the flight indicates that the controls were operative, but there was no test of efficiency since on-off operation was never permitted. The temperature data of these flights is in generally good agreement with that seen earlier with the balloon gas being warmed by the sun to acquire a superheat of $ 1 0^{\circ} $ to $ 2 0^{\circ} \mathrm{C}. $
