Senate Resolution 8648, adopted by the Washington State Senate on April 18, 2017, marks the seventieth anniversary of the June 21, 1947 Maury Island Incident and the "Summer of the Saucers." It recounts Harold Dahl's sighting, Kenneth Arnold's Mt. Rainier sighting, and the FBI's conclusion that Dahl's hoax claim was itself a fabrication.
