UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT DATE: 8/3/80 TO: Director, FBI FROM: SAC, Louisville SUBJECT: ALL E. H. HENNINGTON, Photographic INFORMATION CONCERNING [illegible] On June 28, 1930, the Louisville Times, a newspaper of general circulation published in Louisville, Kentucky, carried a two column cut showing frames of a movie camera film of what appeared to be a moving picture of a flying saucer. The photo was taken by ALL E. H. HENNINGTON (All) of Louisville, Kentucky, and was taken, HENNINGTON said, on a 16 mm magazine-loading movie camera. The news article, accompanying the photographs, stated HENNINGTON took 80 feet of film in which "the bright flying object shows clearly." The photographer, according to the article, was at 4:15 p.m. June 28, 1930, on his way to take some moving pictures of a moving object when he saw a jet plane then in front of him. At first he thought it was a jet plane, but then he saw a light above it and a dark shadow below it. He said he had a slight feeling of uneasiness and seemed to be below the plane. According to HENNINGTON, the object appeared to be about 10 feet above the ground. He said he saw the object move from west to east. The article noted that while the "saucer" appeared to be moving, the jet plane was not. HENNINGTON said he took 80 feet of film, which he said was enough to show the object. He said he had not seen anything like it before. A newspaper article stated that representatives of the FBI had examined the film. In addition, the Louisville Times, the movie film taken by HENNINGTON, was received and reviewed by the FBI. The article stated that the FBI had received the film from HENNINGTON and had reviewed it. The article also stated that the FBI had not yet determined whether the film showed a flying saucer or something else.
