Subj: Unidentified flying objects; request for information concerning
1. Various technical personnel within this Office have an acute scientific interest in the results obtained in the current investigation of unidentified flying objects. For this reason it is requested that a briefing on this subject be arranged for the purpose of acquainting these personnel with the data obtained from reliable reports of sightings classified as being of unknown cause.
2. It is suggested that an informal question-and-answer type discussion be scheduled on some mutually convenient date during February in Room 1803, T-3 Building. Those in attendance, approximately 25 in number, will be limited to senior technical personnel from this Office and certain individuals from other cognizant naval activities in this area. All those attending will have clearance through secret and a definite need-to-know. Final arrangements can be made with LCDR F. L. Thomas (extension 62945) who is acting as Liaison Officer to the Air Force on this problem.
3. The cooperation of the Air Force in making such a briefing possible will be appreciated.
