Dear Dr. Davidson:
I refer to your continued expression of interest concerning the Sylacauga, Alabama, meteorite. My letter to you of 5 January contains no information which cannot be made public if you so desire. Although no official press release was made by the Air Force in this regard, members of the press were present at the time the meteorite was returned to its rightful owner in the office of Congressman Kenneth A. Roberts.
With respect to your request for a copy of the Air Force press release on flying saucers, I am attaching a copy of the latest Air Force Summary of Events and Information Concerning the Unidentified Flying Object Program. This summary compiles the facts which have been proven in our investigations to date.
Sincerely yours,
Signed
JOE W. KELLY
