Captain Hardim page 2 treated sympathetically--from your point of view; 2. it will be sent to you for review before publication--you may check Lew Zarem, who knows me well, on my integrity in this respect; and 3. I will try to take up as little of your time as possible in carrying out the interview. I would be extremely grateful to you both for an opportunity to interview and for a reply to my request as soon as possible--since the book is against quite a strict deadline. If you do not mind, you could give your answer to Lew Zarem and he will notify USAF Hq, which in turn will get in touch with me. The best possible dates for an interview, in terms of my present schedule, would be any time on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, October 31st and November 1st and 2nd respectively. Thank you very much in advance for whatever consideration you may give my request! Cordially, Lloyd Mallan NW 91198 DocId:34745775 Page 219
