Philmont Scout Ranch CIMARRON, NEW MEXICO July 31, 1955 Dear Sir, I thought you might be interested in an incident which happened here at Philmont Scout Ranch on the night of Wednesday, July 27 at approximately 9:30 P.M. At that time a group of JLT's (No: 51) were returning to Zastro after attending an astronomy lecture at Carson-Maxwell. On their hike back to Zastro they were amazed and startled to see approximately 8 UFO's race across Uracca Mesa toward the East. The UFO's began an eccentric maneuver back & forth using their ground lights a great deal of the time. Since it was the first time most of them had ever seen a "flying saucer" - you can imagine the fright created. The amazing 12 NWW 911198 DocId:34745775 Page 147
