Members of the Harbor Patrol at the foot of 12 Irving Street stopped but when they heard the all-clear alert. Capt. E. A. Prohn, Harbor Pilot, A.P. and Patrolman K. O. Hoff, saw the objects and said they appeared to be going high over the water like a missile. Capt. Prohn tried to get them from ascertaining whether there were three or six. "The disc would oscillate and sometimes we would see a full disc, then a half-disc above, then nothing at all," he reported. The objects looked like a thin chromium disc on a car which vibrated, disappeared and reappeared. There was a lane in the sky at the time, which was enough to make them certain that the discs were not planes. PHILADELPHIA: Completed report
