In the news papers I read with very keen interest the reports of the flying lights seen by Capt. W.A. Rainbow while flying a D.C.3 at night over Wairato recently.
Since you are holding an investigation into this phenomenon, I would like to pass on to you, for what value it may be, an experience which I myself had during the second world war which may or may not bear some relationship to your investigation.
