FLYING SAUCERS (?) On 16th September 1952, Wg. Cdr. Gibson, the Director of Civil Aviation stated that on 12th or 13th September, in the early evening, he saw 3 or 4 bright white lights burst in the air over Mount Victoria. On the 15th September at 1755 hrs he saw two similar balls of light burst in the northern sky. Small traces of smoke were left behind. Enquiries made at Carter Observatory show that the above occurrences are consistent with "daylight meteorites" which are visible in September and October. Ronald S.
