Re Mysterious light seen in Nov. 1952.
Early one Friday morning, at 12.50, as I stood by the bedroom window I saw a searchlight, not a very powerful one, flashing on the Paterangi hill, about a mile distant. First it kept pointing to the south, then changed to the east.
We are less than 100 yards from the station, which is below a bank, and can just see the tops of the goods shed from our windows, facing west.
Suddenly a large light appeared. It was a luminous golden colour with three reddish-orange lights, like a three pointed light. This light lasted for about 10 seconds, and then went out. I did not think anything more
