Napier 6th Dec SML 3556(A) % G.P.O. Auckland Dear Cheyne, Thank you for your letter 18th November which I have now sorted out. To keep the record straight, this all happened on the 16th October at 1430 when "Lachlan" Commander Ritchie Napier - Auckland having sailed at 1300. 3556(A) Lieutenant Commander Hammick Manukau - Auckland. 3566(B) Lieutenant Monro - Napier see enclosed letter. I was still in Lachlan then - hope this is what you want. It makes me wonder about some of the other Flying Saucer reports one hears about. Enclosed letter from Lieut Monro with details. Yours Faithfully J.N. Pico Lieutenant FILE
