BUENOS ALTES, 4. (UPI).
— El Comité de Observaciones de Objetos Voladores no Identificados (CODOVNI) informó en torno a la creación de un detector de perturbaciones magnéticas que permitirá localizar la presencia de OVNIS en el espacio, según afirmó.
El inventor, Ariel Ciro Rieti que es el presidente del comité, expuso el detector explicando que consiste en una "T" invertida, con el brazo más corto en forma horizontal y el más largo vertical. Cuenta con un tubo de material plástico cerrado y del brazo más largo pende un hilo del que cuelga una varilla de metal imantado.
Añadió que "en el centro de esa varilla se halla fijo un espejo solidario con ella sobre el que incide un haz de luz que se refleja en una célula fotoeléctrica. El aparato funciona cuando una perturbación magnética, que atribuye a los OVNIS mueve la varilla y el haz de luz reflejado deja a oscuras la célula fotoeléctrica y suena una alarma", dijo.
Cuando ello se produce — señaló— el observador podría buscar la causa de la perturbación magnética y fotografiarla. "La construcción del aparato detector es sencilla y su manejo muy simple", subrayó. Comentó que "la idea había nacido a raíz del suceso registrado en 1965 en la Antártida, cuando en las bases navales argentinas se habían registrado variaciones magnéticas anormales que detuvieron a un tiempo los días relojes magnéticos allí existentes, observándose simplificamente la presencia de objetos luminosos no identificados".
"De esas observaciones de que los OVNIS producen una perturbación geomagnética, es que pensamos lanzar la operación "Magnet", que consistirá en que todos los que tengan nuestras inquietudes de observación posean un detector de estas perturbaciones, inculcó para despertar interés por la difusión del invento.
