Unidentified Flying Objects Reports

Defense Intelligence Agency · 140 pages · text by OCR

This Defense Intelligence Agency release gathers Army and Air Force intelligence reports on unidentified flying objects from several countries. It contains translated Finnish Border Guard reports of glowing spheres and lights seen near the Soviet border, a Costa Rica sighting near Puntarenas, and Afghan news items from 1959 on bright objects over Kandahar, Mazar-i-Sharif and Kabul. Other reports describe objects over Kuldja in Sinkiang, China. A 1969 OSI report from Nakhon Phanom, Thailand concludes that a pilot's ground sighting was probably a religious procession carrying ceremonial drums.

## Dear Sir,

First of all, I would like to thank you for your offer of co-operation to help solve the puzzle of the U.F.O. activities. It's quite a change to find someone who will listen with an open mind, after two years of battling for a hearing.

You no doubt noticed the slight reticence on the part of the Publishers to let you know too much about my discoveries at this stage. This is probably quite natural for them, as they want to protect their investment in the book.

The main reason for writing this book, is so that I may let as many people as possible know of what I have discovered - the monetary side of the issue is purely secondary as far as I am concerned. Therefore, I am quite willing to show you anything I have found if you require further information at any time. I have rough copies of the maps the Publishers were so reluctant to show you, as with anything else I have discovered.

In to the further atomic tests to be conducted at Mururoa Island by the French, a newspaper report states that the tests will take place between 1st June and 19th July. A check of the Astro tables, will show that the declination of the Sun will be 229 north, between 1st and 2nd of June, which would give a co-ordinate of 2642 from Mururoa Island.

The declination will be $ 2 2^{\circ} $ 55' about the 10th June and 4th July. This will give a co-ordinate from Mururoa of 2695. The declination is again at $ 2 2^{\circ} $ north between the 12th and 13th of July, giving once more a 2640 co-ordinate. I have not a copy of the 1967 Ephomeris, so I can only give approximate times G.M.T. at this stage. If you could have the exact declination of the Sun calculated for me at the instant of each atomic test, I will check and see how it fits with grid figures. Naturally, a slight error of a mile or so has to be allowed for, as we do not know the exact latitude of the positioning of the bomb on the Island. At the moment, I'm fairly sure that each test is carried out at $ 2 2^{\circ} $ south latitude.

as to the massive block of stone which still lies in the quarry at Sealbeck (northern end of the Syrian desert), I will quote a passage from a book by Mark Twain, then explain how I think these gigantic blocks of stone were moved.

At eleven o'clock, our eyes fell upon the walls and columns of Baalbeck, a notable ruin, whose history is a sealed book. It has stood there for thousands of years, the wonder and admiration of travellers. Who built it, is a question that may never be answered. One thing is sure though, such grandeur of design and such grace of execution as one sees in the temples of Baalbeck, have not been equalled or even approached by any other work of man's hands that has ever been built within the last twenty centuries.

This great temple of the Sun, the temple of Jupiter, and the several smaller
