This Defense Intelligence Agency release gathers Army and Air Force intelligence reports on unidentified flying objects from several countries. It contains translated Finnish Border Guard reports of glowing spheres and lights seen near the Soviet border, a Costa Rica sighting near Puntarenas, and Afghan news items from 1959 on bright objects over Kandahar, Mazar-i-Sharif and Kabul. Other reports describe objects over Kuldja in Sinkiang, China. A 1969 OSI report from Nakhon Phanom, Thailand concludes that a pilot's ground sighting was probably a religious procession carrying ceremonial drums.

Translation of four messages provided by the Chief, Argentine Navy Hydrographic Service concerning unidentified flying objects sighted recently in Antarctica is submitted. Message originators were Commander, Argentine Base at Deception Island (64 deg 59 min South 60 deg 32 min West), and Commander, Argentine Activity at Orcadas (Laurie Island, South Orkney Islands) (60 deg 45 min South 44 deg 43 in West). The messages summarize sightings by Argentine personnel, and reports that British and Chilean base personnel at Deception Island have also reported unidentified flying objects. Messages are quoted verbatim and have been provided without comment.
