Unidentified Flying Objects Reports

Defense Intelligence Agency · 140 pages · text by OCR

This Defense Intelligence Agency release gathers Army and Air Force intelligence reports on unidentified flying objects from several countries. It contains translated Finnish Border Guard reports of glowing spheres and lights seen near the Soviet border, a Costa Rica sighting near Puntarenas, and Afghan news items from 1959 on bright objects over Kandahar, Mazar-i-Sharif and Kabul. Other reports describe objects over Kuldja in Sinkiang, China. A 1969 OSI report from Nakhon Phanom, Thailand concludes that a pilot's ground sighting was probably a religious procession carrying ceremonial drums.

--the residence of LINCOLN had Mr. Dubois from the course of the city, and had resolved to watch the city in the evening of itself. For to keep the sky overcast, but on the sun the cloud dispersed, out in the evening, about ten minutes after dusk, he was a specter but rises from behind some in the northwest. The observer called his brother to his aid and they together watched the afternoon. It seemed the bright light and darkness of a trajectory were the city, then curiously held a range of mountains in the southwest. At the end of its trajectory the object had an elevation of about fifty feet above the point of observation. It was after fifteen minutes to travel from horizon to horizon and so amenable to the two observers.
