This Defense Intelligence Agency release gathers Army and Air Force intelligence reports on unidentified flying objects from several countries. It contains translated Finnish Border Guard reports of glowing spheres and lights seen near the Soviet border, a Costa Rica sighting near Puntarenas, and Afghan news items from 1959 on bright objects over Kandahar, Mazar-i-Sharif and Kabul. Other reports describe objects over Kuldja in Sinkiang, China. A 1969 OSI report from Nakhon Phanom, Thailand concludes that a pilot's ground sighting was probably a religious procession carrying ceremonial drums.

## ENCE REPORT INTELLIGENCE REPORT

subject report relates the observations of a former resident of Urnuda, since, on two occasions between 1937 and 2200 hours during the month of October 1950, of an unidentified flying object with the following characteristics. A flash originating in the sky far to the west of Urnuda fell identified flying object recording the size of an ordinary star, but very later, which had risen to a great height before finally disappearing in the west of yellowish color and required about five (5) minutes from the rotation to the time of disappearance; object left a trail of dark smoke. Duration 2-3 minutes after passing of the object from visibility; no sound, largely visible then directly overcased; but grew larger as it descended. Reason that UK originated on Russian side of Sino-Soviet border line. Reason that Chinese Communists had not the ability for launching any aircraft territory. Source claims personal living with his land also several other occasions during September-October 1950 but source does not mention these particular observations.
