Sir:
I am enclosing a sample of material which came from the atmosphere some weeks and fell in a shiny mass the size of a galy bell approximately. It caught my eye shining in the sun and when I caught it, it fell apart into thousands of pieces of metal as enclosed. They seemed to possess magnetic properties, and I was wondering if they were remnants or parts of the magnetic needles which were sent up by the Americans some time ago. Maybe I'm mistaken but I would like to know what they are and they descended from the atmosphere.
Yours truly,
Jas M Carmick
